I have owned one of the above for about a year now. When it arrived it took a little easy initial assembly. Once that has been done (mainly putting the wheels together) there is no further fiddling with it. I have the single trailer unit and have assembly for towing down to about 18 minutes. Disassembly is about 8 minutes. I use my ‘trusty rusty’ Ford Fiesta to tow and the whole thing, when disassembled, fits into it with the back seats down so I can still carry a passenger. A larger saloon or hatchback should accommodate it in the boot. No tools are required for putting together or taking down. It’s all done with steel rods and retaining clips. The single breaks down into nine bits including the lighting rig and the build quality is superb. It’s covered in a Hammerite type covering and the unfinished parts are stainless steel.

I cannot recommend it enough. The loading of a bike is made simple by a hinge at the front which allows the bed to tilt to the ground whilst still attached to the tow ball. I have never had to enlist the aid of anyone to load my 1200cc solo onto it. That said, I have always utilised the engine to ‘drive’ it up onto the thing. A dead bike would be more difficult and I would not manage that without assistance.

The website www.motolug.co.uk has all the details including a short animation showing the single being broken down and assembled.

It is not cheap however I anticipate it will last me a lifetime and for ease of use and storage I cannot see it being equalled.
